When the sun sets in the West
And darkness appears in the night
That is the time for a gentle rest
But loneliness is in sight.
I try to say a simple prayer
That encourages an aching heart.
One that shadows darkness into light
When your dear friends must part.
Allow our God to heal us
To chase all your blues away
He will bring rays of sunshine
If you keep praying day to day.
