Old Memories

                  by Miriam Spengler

There are many old memories

In my thoughts from day to day,

Some are funny and pleasant

And others are another way.

Traveling from state to state

And flying from country to country

There was so much to see

And the time was not free.

We were both Sunday School teachers

I had the nursery and he had the adults.

Children were always my delight

Now they are married and out of sight.

We were dating while in choir years,

The Air Corps during war brought many tears.

We were thankful to our Father above

When peace was signed with his love

We will never forget old memories

Filled with laughter and some tears.
